Slept in…..I shall use a justrojie prompt! Thank Ro.!!! Hold on. Be right back.
7. What’s a childhood dream you still secretly hold onto?
….American Pharoah wins the Triple Crown and the Breeders Cup—-GRAND SLAM— 1st horse in history!!! I have a t.

When in primary school I always wanted to be a jockey. (Cue Rags to Riches)
I’m too tall for most events I think right? But there are all sorts. I have a total and utter love for equine beauties!!! The Arabian breed especially!!! Arabian endurance racing interests me! And there is The Arabian Jockey Club
“The Arabian Jockey Club exists to provide fundamental infrastructure and promotion for Arabian Racing and to illustrate the value of Race-bred Arabians in disciplines beyond racing.”
One day I’ll spend a little time here and there with these amazing animals again. I ride english of course so it’s a fistpump!
A family member had, well has horses now too, but had when I was 16-17-18 a hugely fit Canadian stock stallion, black. It would run up to me at the fence in the Quebec north country and stop on a dime, breathing like a righteous demon. Simple, pick the wild chives around the fence and hand the big fella a treat. Lol!!
The movie The Black Stallion always brought me to the spot! My mom took me to see it. She explained to me that it was intinct that drove Shaitan to safety hauling Alec, directionally, when their ship catches fire and they must jump into the sea to escape, then swimming to an island.
We learn about Bucephalus in The Black Stallion, Alexandre the Great’s warhorse, “ox-head” for a branding or a scar the beast had on it’s thigh, 344BC-326BC. Only the young Alexandre could tame him.
I also read the autobiography of the original horse-whisperer. Monty Roberts. He took horse raising to a very kind respectful level, as opposed to how his father would do it. His father would tie them up and down to the earth and unfortunately beat them into submission. I saw a photograph, it’s not pretty. Anyways, he’d get sued today.
Is there anything more mesmerizing than a steed galloping at full speed??
It was Louis XIV that brought several shipments to New-France that would become the Canadian Horse Breed.
The Mattes have been in North America since the 1600s, near Quebec City.
Wiki.
“During the 1700s, the “French Canadian Horse” spread through what is now eastern Michigan and Illinois in the United States, and lived a generally feral existence, with many escaping human control completely.[1] In 1798, a horse with characteristics similar to the Canadian is reported to have appeared spontaneously in Massachusetts and given to one Justin Morgan, giving rise to the Morgan breed. But this specimen may have actually been born 7 miles from the Canadian Border in Vermont,[8] which has always fed suspicions that it was in fact a Canadian horse. During the Expulsion of the Acadians in the mid-18th century, the English seized the livestock of the Acadians, including horses. Some of these animals were transported to Sable Island, where their descendants became the Sable Island horse.[9][10] In the late 18th century, imported horses from the US and the British Isles were crossbred with existing Canadian stock. By the 19th century, they were found performing light draft work, as well as riding and driving duties.[1] Cornelius Krieghoff, a 19th-century Canadian painter, was known for his works featuring the Canadian horse, who he usually showed in association with the French habitants, as opposed to the English settlers in the area. His paintings generally portrayed the Canadian horse in a utilitarian, workhorse role, often in winter scenes.[11]”
