Al Capone’s Tommy Gun😎

⚠️ WARNING: PROPER FIREARMS USE AND COMPLIANCE IN NORTH AMERICA
Failure to handle firearms responsibly can result in severe injury, death, criminal prosecution, lifetime weapons prohibitions, and the permanent seizure of your property. Firearm ownership and use across North America carry strict legal obligations and fundamental safety rules that must be followed at all times.

The “Sweetheart” Colt 1911
• The Name: Capone called it his “sweetheart” because family lore states it saved his life on multiple occasions during his rise in the Chicago underworld.
• Design: The pistol features custom floral scroll engravings, handmade checkering, and distinctive deer antler grips.
• Where it is now: After passing down through his wife Mae, son Sonny, and his granddaughters, the pistol was sold at a family auction for $1 million in 2021. It was later acquired by The Mob Museum in Las Vegas to be showcased in their organized crime exhibits.
Other Notable Firearms

“The World is Yours”, the blimp over Miami Florida claiming a piece of Tony’s psyche urging him on on a quest for his world domination and utter self-destruction in Brian DePalma’s Scarface 1983–soundtrack by the great Giorgio Moroder.

Notice Howard Hughes credited!😉 The Aviator by Scorsese is his biopic. My family in Quebec worked on this movie in Montreal.
Paul Muni as Tony

In the original film from 1932 Tony looks out a window at a sign across the way lit-up with the words “The World is Yours…”. The line “Sure…I like Johnny….but I like you more!” Is redone in the remake too, spoken by Tony (AL Pacino) to his blonde cokehead trophy wife played by Michelle Pfeiffer. Paul Muni plays the Tone character in the original. He was one of Marlon Brando’s top favorite actors that he loved it is said (I THINK! By him on YouTube)

It’s a trip.

Barrymore and Gregory Peck were also on the list of thespians he liked very much. Brando was–a wild tiger set free into the jungle–I’ve heard said once of his mega ability at the Actor’s Studio in NYC. Him and James Dean? “We talked on the phone and ran into each other at parties, but never became close. I think he regarded me as a kind of older brother or mentor… We can only guess what kind of actor he would have become in another twenty years. I think he could have become a great one.” —“Historically, Brando also viewed Dean’s sudden rise to fame with some skepticism, reportedly seeing him at the time as a young actor heavily imitating his own outsider style and mannerisms.” I personally think they were both VERY distinct.

Is it any wonder that the boss of the New Jersey mob in the Sopranos is named Tony?? Lol!!! Just saying. Maybe.

The St-Valentine’s Massacre is represented in the 1932 version.

Chicago prohibition 🚫 drama of mega fortitude! I really enjoyed my streaming purchase today and discovering the original because I did not know there were similarities between these two movies.

Cheers!!!
