The Pearl/The Bees

In my book, The Slumbering Monk. The protagonist monk Buddhist Manu becomes a pearl, much to the delight of ama divers and a Shinto shrine donation box. I just read this in the collection of poems everything yearned for by Manhae, translated and introduced by Francisca Cho. The pearl line struck me. And here’s a poem I just wrote in french. Enjoy!

Abeilles Tatoué

Le bourdonnement des femelles estampees de peint divin approche aux luange (er son) avec un rythme sublime intoxicant qui mene a la hautee de plaisirs delirant.

Tatooed Bees

The buzzing of the divinely painted females approaches the luange with a sublime, intoxicating rhythm that leads to the height of delirious pleasure.

Thanks for reading!

Nico
