What’s the most interesting local custom you’ve encountered?
Here there are many many donair and shawarma shops. More than poutine stands. Donair joints are bliss because they prepare your meal right in front of you and the ingredients are mega healthy right? AND super fresh. Yup, I used to party at the top of the stairs of a very popular shawarma restau. here on Rideau St. many years ago. My two girl friends lived upstairs, crazy times! Then some dude showed up who had done time in Europe for smuggling and I fooled around with his girlfriend one night at another location lol! Her and I didn’t go too far, but it was nice. Anyways, this violent freak ended up kicking everyone out. Claimed the pad for his own and we never looked back.
