I read Shijūshichishi 四十七士 in French and it was alright but The 47 Ronin 1941 black and white movie was epique. I really like this film, “Rooted in Japanese legend, this epic drama follows a cadre of samurais loyal to Lord Takuminokami Asano (Yoshizaburo Arashi). When the noble leader refuses a bribe from the local government, it leads to him to commit seppuku — suicide by sword. Without their master, Asano’s warriors are deemed wandering “ronin,” but rather than accept their fate, the swordsmen, led by Kuranosuke Oishi (Chôjûrô Kawarasaki), unite to seek revenge on the corrupt court of the shogun.” Now there is also Keanu Reeves film 47 Ronin in which he plays Kai a half breed who can kill like a mf on steroids. There are witches, crazy creatures, the wardrobe is fantastic, the sets sumptuous and enthralling, vaulted in 2013, I remember laughing at the super fake Japanese-ultra stuff but it rocks real hard and good. This is my NEW goto movie!!

My cats, Neko’s are glorious, and when I first got Garfield I also named her Akio which means Hero, but I soon found out she was a she so….

Ok, her new Japanese name is Asano from Keanu’s 47 Ronin his love interest and Glacier’s Japanese name is Akiko, automn child being born in the fall she is.

There is a scene in 47 Ronin where Oishi faces Kai in a sword match and it totally reminded me of DeNiro finding Christopher Walken’s character Nick in a Vietnamese Russian roulette outfit, dreadful scene in The Deer Hunter. Amazing movie!
