Great prompt here, very refreshing!
I learned to read Hangugeo 한국어 when I was 25, I’m 50 now, it is bliss! I just love the look of the characters and the sound is soothing and so interesting much like Cree and other aboriginal languages to me minus the sturdy little inflexion you get when someone is questioning in the native tongues. The first words I learned in Korean were mog, ibsul and dali, lol! And there was much laughter from my girlfriend when she “taught” me them in Montreal where we were either at her apt. or mine. So, I would hire a tutor, plane tickets to Seoul, have her show me around and quite simply teach me the language as we spend our time there in that huge city. Writing exercises would be a must because I really want to be able to write and type it out. Then, I would compose a poetry book in Hangugeo 한국어 about the year spent on the peninsula, reliving the scenery and every interesting experience will have lived there in that year.
