Ohhhhhh down Elgin st. Not tonight, but usually I go through my C.V. lol. Guard at City Hall and Place Bell across the street, many concerts at the Chateau Laurier including piano playing for Anne-Roquelaure (Anne Rice), guitar music with a delay pedal, amp for some event, hahaha!!!>>> I even pulled St. Francis’ tune out of my playbook and “una limosna por el amor de dios” in front of a now extinct small neighborhood grocery store, BUSKING!!!!! I played my brains out on Elgin St.. Once during a snow storm after an A.A. meeting I played in the drifts and lost all function of my right hand as a result for the wind relentlessly hitting my wrist as I played. My hand was dead, It was a floppy disk. Anyways, back it regenerated in about 3-4 days and it gets better all the time lol, VERY THANKFULL!!! Oh, I was a cashier at a big Jewish grocery store, drank, partied, played billiards, etc etc, I invited a big stinky bum to sleep in a heated garage I was using for my 1987 Toyo. van, WHAAAAAT???? sacrifice!! (en francais)
Then, parking a 5 ton banshee Hino delivery truck on snowbanks, hop, skip, lug the grub upstairs, there were maybe 10+ clients on this stretch of road alone.
Music composition lessons at The Lieutenants Pump with Dr. Paolo Bellomia!! Dry as a whistle, like I am today and I’ll stay this way ’till St. Pet hands me a drag of his cigarette, lol. Counterpoint, harmony, etc. Here I was introduced to Mahler, Stravinski, WAGNER!!!! TRISTAN UND ISOLDE!!!!!!!THAT OPENNING PRELUDE!!!!!!😊And many more, which culminated in me gaining a cert. in Orchestra Conducting from the University of Montreal, my 4th symphony by Beethoven was EXCELLENT I was repeatedly told. I played guitar and sang micd up here, Folsum Prison Blues, to grand applause, I was surprised, and two street buddies were there, long lost friends.
I was a painter and painted many bnbs and apt pt pts apt pts pts in the area.
Ohhhhhh, this one time, at band camp, I mean…..this one time>>> I fell asleep right on the sidewalk at the corner of Elgin st. and Laurier, right at the busy corner, lolololol!! The cops came, took blood samples, then drove me to a homeless shelter where I promptly got back into gear for another run,,not having finished my drunk yet. Good God, blood samples??
I got this broads phone number once after hours, she tipped me busking infront of a club and she phoned me later: “hey?? You wanna smoke a joint??” Oh my god, If I remember correctly, I had another one in my arms.😘
Ehm, so thats my bus trip tonight down Elgin St. Thanks!! And just a glimpse….
