How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Hi, me I find that life experience is SO amazing! I practice and watch a lot of boxing and it’s such a formidable joy! REALLY! There’s nothing like hitting pads or punching bags, doing light sparring, this sort of thing. And watching the sport is incredible, I was at the Molson Centre for a card many years ago, my friend tapped a guard on the shoulder, asked him a question, pointed and walked past a frisking, entering the arena clear with his mickey of whiskey, it cacked me up. Lucas the Quebec Heavyweight was fighting that night and KO’d the guy to the canvas.

Joaquin Alcine, who trained at the same gym I went to too, KO’d a dude down too. Henri, his trainer taught me the uppercut. Well, now I rock in the dojo! It’s great fun! I’m not a Goldengloves Champ by right, but I can get around. So all this boxing does wonders and tonight I decided to listen to something new on Spotify, Miles Davis >A Tribute to Jack Johnson< I’ve never listened to it before and it’s sublime!!!! They jam a song called Duran, for Roberto Duran!!!!! another for Sugar Ray Robinson!!!!! called Sugar Ray. This music is SO good!!! Miles Davis folks!!!!!!

So being into all this boxing and being a huge fan of Miles I am amazed and surprised to have JUST discovered this music, and listening to it right before punching jabs and hooks on pads held by my Sensei was ABSOLUTELY GRAND!!!

Hemingway has a Nick Adams short story where Nick meets a punchdrunk ex-boxer and some other dude near some train tracks, the ex-boxer flips out and the other dude hits him over the head with a fryingpan. Wohhhh! He boasted he was close to pro-boxer Hemingway, it is said otherwise, I don’t know, but he must of had a big punch!

The GREAT Mickey Rourke boxed pro for a bit and won fights. What an actor!!!

Well, so ya, life events and the passage of time coalesce and bring you further downstream in a sturdy embarcation of actually one’s own design. Remember, if you have burning unsettled “issues” or whatnot, there IS always a solution. You know that this Google thing has saved my ass for its info.? I can look up anything and resolve a stubborn question. (I’m 90 years old cough cough lol) no no💪
