Cuba 2025 day 6                         I awoke today feeling quite good I must say yes. The rattling of the chamber maid’s water cart rolling down towards my door put me in a good mood. And, I had to run the cheery gauntlet to get to the tour guide so as to purchase an excursion to Habana. So I jumped out of bed, knocked my head on the ceiling, and ran out to hopefully get one before they were all sold out. Aha! Got one! Yes!!!! Hamburger et frite at the restau. + a FANTASTIC!!! Americano black coffee!!! The net is off at the moment, but I’m back at my room enjoying my time>> in the chill. So I spent my time drinking matcha, keeping the cleaners at bay and stressing over my credit score hahaha!!!! But now me have a plan moohaha! So, after a chat a shower and change of clothes I took the stairs and ordered a hamburger with cheese and bacon and a pina colada mit ohne rum bitte schone,,,,ohhhhh! I read another chapter from Thus Spake Mr. Z. and it was pretty g.r.o.o.v.y. lol! I wish I could drink it though gosh like a liquor in a sniffter, I want to feel it in all my being…….but I don’t smoke cigarettes anymore. One thing leads to the next. AND, I opened up the Henri Miller and right where I left off this is what was written: “It must also have been about this time that Santos Dumont came into fame. For us there was something grotesque about the name Santos Dumont. About his exploits we were not much concerned – just the name. For most of us it smelled of sugar, of Cuban plantations, of the strange Cuban flag which had a star in the comer and which was always highly regarded by those who saved the little cards which were given away with Sweet Caporal cigarettes and on which there were represented either the flags of the different nations or the leading soubrettes of the stage or the famous pugilists.”Great stuff!!!It’s chilly out and Dubai 24hrs is on, I’m going down to pigout one last time then I’m up for the evening.

Thanks!

Nico
