Think back on your most memorable road trip.
Hi, me and Borys “Big B” and Marckyboy “Big Head” decided to take a road trip to Vermont to ski and snowboard the fascinating hills of Owl’s Head. At the time there was no GPS fledglings, so we mapped up, and hit the road with a couple packs a Dumaurier and coughed our lungs out on the way. There was a snowstorm and somewhere along the way the Toyota van 1987 began to head into the right lane as we were attempting to pass a big wheeler, and we almost got caught by the metal of the machine next to us when “Big B” grabbed the wheel and steered the Nipponese beast out of harms way, so we went flying in the middle ditch on the highway instead lol! Boom! Stuck in the ice and snow. So, when this happens guys, what you do is make damn sure you’re prepared, and I knew just what to do, I ALWAYS kept two three long pieces of carpet in the back of the vehicle stuffed behind the back seat, and what you do is have the vehicle roll over them for traction to move the son of a gun out of there lol. And this was a deep, steep icy, snowy, ditch. Anyways, WE GOT OUT!!! No cellphones back then. We would of had to have thumbed a ride to the nearest payphone etc then etc. Well anyways, Owl’s Head was devine! We drank lots, oh! The guard at the U.S. border cracked us up because he came to the passenger’s window, looked at us, didn’t ask us any questions kinda, THEN, picked up a single ski glove from the dash, peeped inside it, put it back down, smiled, and let us through, lol!
It was a fun trip!
Thank you!
Nico
