Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?
Hi, me, when I was about 16 years old, I had a 1987 Toyota minivan, and I brought it into service, and the dude at the counter told me he was once Jimi Hendrix’s drummer. I recently looked up pics of his drummers, and one looked familiar. He really didn’t look like he was joking. Ehm, Oh! My family tree has some politicians, Council to Equator for Canada was my great grandfather, ehm, so my grandmother and my mom worked for a senator on Parliament Hill, and I think when I was a tiny kid I met Jean Chretien while eating some jello at the caf. Justin Trudeau threw a loonie into my guitar case in the Byward Market way before he was PM. Ohhhhhh! I met Tom Green one night while busking in front of The Dominion Tavern, I introduced myself, and we shook hands. He dated Drew Barrymore for a bit. I was at a press conference with John Scofield in Montreal. Infamous, I used to hang with a guy called Paul Townsand, who, if you’re familiar with biker stuff, worked for an associate of “Mom Boucher”(stealing cars they were!!! Lol! oh oh LOL!!!!!!!!!) Paul was out of all that when I met him, we would just pass a bottle back and forth, and he would raconte. Ehm, you know, I think there’s oh ya!!!!! I was up close to Tony Hawk at Lansdowne Park, skating halfpipe, mcflips, amazing!!!
I know I’m leaving some out.
This is what I can think of.
Oh yes, OF COURSE, my cousin. Jeremy Comte!!!!! Oscar nominated director won at Sundance for his short film “Fauve” (it’s on youtube). Many other awards around the globe, as a kid he told he wanted to be “comedian!” LOL.
Paolo Bellamia taught me a hell of a lot of music, conducting, counterpoint, etc. He has his own Orchestra 21. He was taught by Boulez, Bernstein, and on and on.
Cheers!
Nico
