Beethoven Overture🐎

What’s a song that changed your life?

This one is great and George Szell I was taught and from my own listening experience is a pro at Beethoven Overtures, Egmont,…..I conducted the Egmont to a stand still of uncertainty in my mind at masterclasses in Montreal with the full-scale orchestra at the U of M. BUT! Beethoven’s 4th symphony, 20 min. of, from the begining? I prepared for with a special hand wringing plan…..go double time at the hits before the swing in! I heard a orchestra I forget which oh!..darn. anyways, a little bit more of an obscure conductor on and they rip into the stream with such a velocity that the old lady’s wig goes flying off and sets on the chadelier above. The place went mad! ALL were inspired! My girlfriend after had much to say and was throughly impressed, this is all that mattered to me because she was huge!

The piece above, at the end, I always picture myself on horseback……it’s a very freeing part the one.

I think it changed my life some, #3, it’s brilliant!

Thanks!!!
