Parliament Hill

Much has changed in Ottawa at Parliament Hill. The cat mansion is gone probably do to animal rights. There are massive security anti vehicle borders and patrol suvs all over the place since that poor guy bit the dust after the rampage. And, major renovations are being done. Anyways, when I was little my grandmother worked there, sha was a secretary to a senator and my mom would replace her and “read magazines” lol. So my grandma, when I had a day off school would take me along to work. Park her car at the back, a tiny green bus would rev up and pick us up down the hill at the back and scoot everyone up, I’d be on the carpet with books and toys BUT, the headline was the chocolate cake at the caf.!!! I was eating one day and Mamie said “Regarde Nicholas! Ca cest Jean Chretien!” LOL, Mr. Chretien was standing in front of our table laughing it up with a group of politicians.

I have a buddy who would head onto the hill before the massive security ramp up and fish into the Eternal Flame with a magnet and bring up change that was thrown in by wishful visitors. Yikes!

I love going past the hill nowadays, so cool and beautiful, all these excellent cultures, vibrant energy, its really a “movable feast” from one person to the next.

Had a Cree buddy who had once worked on the left wing, brick. The great Jerry Chokamolin.

Rest in Peace fella!

Merci!!!!!

Nico
