Aves Dreaming

The convocation of eagles
We hold strong in the skies above
Epitath of the great Zeus

The murmuration of starlings astound

Piteousness of Doves
Peace, love, and hope
Mechanical wonder jets from a church in Florence

The murmuration of starlings astound

A gulp of Cormorants
Purpose to be fullfilled
Fishing friend of sino-wisdom
Busy in the trees, in high gossip

The murmuration of starlings astound

A watch of Nightingales
Purity, goodness, muse, virtue
Brilliant song in the night’s breeze
Such song I wish to hear again

Nico

    1. Ya, I had a couple old dictionaries I found and claimed as my own back in my 20s at my Mamie’s place and the words were amazing. The english language has changed lots. BUT, there was a section at the beginning with the names of bird groupings, and they really fascinated me. Oh, it was a newer dictionary they were in, regardless😄

    1. Ya!!!!!!! I absolutely agree!!!

I am an eagle in aboriginal worship, old man Rene told me, he is a vietnam vet. Etc.
Zeus is seldom worshiped now I believe in earnest today some, thus the eulogy feel for the old fella. The dove of course, and there is at Youtube a mechanical dove ceremony in a church in Florence. Cormorants utilized to fish on Chinese rivers, and on the Ottawa near my place they sit and make a raucous up at their perches lol. And of course the nightingale, Soooo beautiful a visit!!! Murmuration of starlings are those clouds of birds one sees all swarming in unison, outstanding, perhaps symbolizing the mass of life on earth.😄
