Dinkledork the coyote

Do you ever see wild animals?

Hi, me when I was driving 5 ton truck around the roads here kinda vroom vroom ya know what I mean? I had to get to Hawthorne St. really early on a Sunday morning. I checked Google Maps and followed the suggested route, lol.

Head to Strathcona Park, kick a left, walk through the tunnel of sylvan mirth, attain the gauntlet of penetrable wisdom, and make it to Lees Ave.

So I followed suite, it was dark in the woods, I was scratching my head a bit.

When I got out of the neighborhood at the top of the cliffs of yore, I heard an incessant cawing going down under mate. I turned around, the sun was up a bit, and this weird dog like beast with smarts in his eye and a frantic hunger in his gest. bolted left, head low with the constant pecking of a murder of crows!

I stood there at the bus stop across the street, mesmerized at the sight! AND, counted my blessings, lol!

I named him the given in the title above. I do not wish to repeat it here for fear of getting giddy.

Ya, there is also this nocturnal bird called the Whip-poor-will! I would hear it sing late at night when at camp at Witkens Bay when I was tiny. It was AMAZING to hear it ALL NIGHT.

I miss this nightjar’s song, I no longer ever hear it.

Thank you for reading,

Nico
